What We Believe

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, was verbally inspired of God, and therefore is our only infallible rule for faith and practice.

We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is true God and true man. He was...born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, physically rose again from the dead for our salvation, and ascended to Heaven where He is now making intercession for us. We believe in His personal, imminent and pre-millennial return.

We believe the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, convicts men of sin and enables them to believe. He regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, seals, and baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He is the Christian’s Comforter, Counselor, Guide and Teacher of the truths of God as revealed in the Scriptures.

We believe man was created in God’s image, distinct from all other creatures. Man sinned, and was thus separated from fellowship with God, and incurred the condemnation of eternal death. He cannot please God without first being born again and justified by faith in Jesus Christ apart from any works of his own. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ as his substitute and sin bearer, believing that Jesus’ blood cleanses from all sin, is delivered from his sin and eternal punishment in hell. He is immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit and inherits eternal life, which is enjoyed now and in heaven after this life.

We believe Satan is a living being, the author of sin and shall be eternally punished.

We believe baptism is the immersion of believers in water, in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as outward evidence of an inward cleansing and regeneration. It is proper to receive only those candidates for baptism who are old enough to exercise their own personal faith in Jesus as Savior.

We believe the Lord’s Supper is a provision of bread and the fruit of the vine as symbols of Christ’s body and blood, partaken of by believers associated for worship, to remind them of His sacrificial death for them.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers, for which the Master so earnestly prayed.
